The following describes privacy
practices specific to Dayboox. By accessing and using
Dayboox, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Notice.
Dayboox may modify this Privacy Notice from time to time and such modifications
shall be effective upon posting on the Dayboox Website.
Dayboox Account
You have to create a Dayboox
account to be able to use Dayboox Services. When you create your account, you
have to provide some personal information to create your profile and privacy
settings.
Personal Information
Personal information that you
voluntarily submit to create a Dayboox account may include, without being
limited to, your real name, email address, photo, country of origin and date of
birth. You are also requested to provide a password. The password is used to
protect your account from unauthorized access.
Privacy Settings
After creating your Dayboox
account, you are able to configure your privacy settings before making any submission.
This configuration allows you to make informed choices about who has access to
your information. After this initial set up, you can change your privacy
settings at any time. We do not provide contact
information to third party marketers without your permission. We share your
information with third parties only when permitted by you or where we believe
such sharing is 1) reasonably necessary to offer the service or 2) legally
required.
Treatment of your information
Public available information: Your
real name, username and profile picture thumbnail will be available in search
results across the Dayboox network. Those limited pieces of information may
also be available to third party search engines.
Profile Information: Profile
information you submit to Dayboox (e.g. date of birth, gender, interests,
hobbies, lifestyle choices and any of your submissions in general) will be only
available to users of Dayboox who belong to at least one of the networks you
allow to access the information through your privacy settings (e.g., family or
friends).
Personal Identifiable
Information: If you submit personally identifiable information to us through
the Dayboox Website (e.g your full name, email address, mailing address,
telephone number), Dayboox my collect this information upon your acceptance, for
you to participate in different Dayboox activities like, without being limited
to, contests and surveys. Dayboox may also send you service-related
announcements from time to time through the general operation and maintenance
of the service. Dayboox may also use your personal identifiable information to
provide you with different features and functionalities of the Dayboox Website
as well as with special personalized features.
Cookies: Dayboox may place
cookies on your computer to identify your Internet browser, preferences of
storage, determine if you posses the appropiate software and the like, needed
to access certain material on the Dayboox Website. Dayboox may also use
cookies and similar tools to customize content and advertising you receive in
your account based on your profile information.
Third party cookies: Dayboox
Website may also carry advertisements from other companies (Internet
advertising companies or advertisers). Advertisements displayed by other
companies on Dayboox Website may also contain cookies known as “third
party cookies”. Dayboox does not control these third party cookies. Therefore,
Dayboox users should check the privacy policy of such Internet advertising
company or advertiser. Dayboox is not responsible for the privacy practices of
websites or other services operated by third parties, even if such third party
is affiliated with Dayboox.
Usage Information: We may record
information about your usage, such as when you use Dayboox, the channels,
groups, and people you are following, the contacts you communicate with, and
the frequency and size of data transfers, as well as information you display or
click on in Dayboox (including UI elements, settings, and other information). If
you are logged in, we may associate that information with your account. We may
use clear GIFs (a.k.a. "Web Beacons") in HTML-based emails sent to
our users to track which emails are opened by recipients.
Content Uploaded to Site: Any
personal information or video content that you voluntarily disclose online (on
discussion boards, in messages and chat areas, within your playback or profile
pages, etc.) becomes publicly available and can be collected and used by
others.
Account
Termination: Users who wish to deactivate their Dayboox account may do so on
the My Account page. Removed information may persist in backup copies for a
reasonable period of time but will not be generally available to members of
Dayboox.
